L&T Construction Build India Scholarship 2026

Build India Scholarship(BIS) Scheme is an illustrious programme that has been in existence for more than 25 years. Through this program, L&T nurtures aspiring young talents from Civil / Electrical Engineering background into capable Project Management professionals, allowing them to be part of its tremendous growth story.

Eligibility Criteria
  • 4 year / 8 semester Degree (full-time) course (students expecting to graduate by 30th June 2026) after 10+2 / 10+Diploma.
  • The Aggregate for 10th, 12th / Diploma should be more than or equal to 65%.
  • The Aggregate for B.E. / B. Tech should be more than or equal to 70%.
  • The following streams from BE/BTech are eligible for the process
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • No backlogs (past/cleared or live/current) during BE/ BTech Course. All subjects/papers (including but not limited to: core, non-core / electives & labs) should be cleared in the first attempt only.
  • Any subject/paper appeared and not cleared in the first attempt is considered a backlog.
  • Should be an Indian national, born on or after 01.07.2002.
Programme Highlights:
  • 02 years full-time M.Tech degree in Construction Technology & Management
  • Academic Partners: IIT Madras / IIT Delhi / NITK Surathkal / NIT Tiruchirapalli
  • Monthly stipend of Rs. 13,400 will be paid for 24 months (till the course completion)
  • Sponsorship fee & Tuition will be borne by L&T and will be paid directly to IITs / NITs
  • Summer Internship & Final Project will be carried out at L&T project sites during the programme
  • Regular interactions/Guest lectures/Knowledge-sharing sessions by L&T professionals
  • Employment will be offered at L&T upon successful completion of the Course

Course Name: M.Tech in Construction Technology & Management
Partner Institutes: IIT Madras / IIT Delhi / NITK Surathkal / NIT Tiruchirapalli

Undertaking:
  • Upon selection and before joining the course, the student is required to sign an undertaking valued at Rs.12 lakhs. This undertaking commits the student to successfully completing the course and subsequently serving the company for five years. Details of recovery of the undertaking value are as stated below.
Who Can Apply?
  • Applicants must be final-year students pursuing B.E/B.Tech in core Civil/Electrical Engineering, expected to graduate in 2026 from a recognized Indian University/Institute, with an academic aggregate of 70% or a CGPA of 7.0 (out of 10) and above.
  • Please note that students from other engineering disciplines and those who graduated in 2025 or earlier are not eligible.
How to Apply?
Applications are accepted only through online mode.
Step 1: Click on 'Apply Now' to proceed to a new webpage. Here, enter your basic details and submit. You will receive an email containing your User ID and password for accessing the application portal. Upon registration, remember to log in using the provided credentials and complete the application form.
Step 2: Log in to the application portal using the User ID and password provided to you. Click on 'Login' located at the top right-hand corner of the application portal to access and complete the application form.
Step 3: Enter all the information sought and upload required documents in .pdf/jpg/jpeg formats, as required. Documents like certificates / mark sheets / valid photo identity proof / photograph / signature / CV etc., need to be uploaded. Ensure that you merge all semester mark sheets into a single .pdf document before uploading.

If shortlisted, you will be required to appear for a physical written test at one of our designated Test Centers.

Important:
  • Ensure the details entered by you in the application portal are complete and accurate.
  • Aggregate of marks to be entered in Percentage (%). Please do not enter the CGPA. Convert the CGPA on a scale of 10 and then convert to an aggregate Percentage.
  • Please make a note of your user ID or application number generated after registration, which you need to quote in all your future communications.
  • Enter your active email ID and mobile number for communication from time to time.
  • Keep scanned copies of the documents (certificates/marksheets/testimonials, photograph) and the required details ready before filling the application form.
